Auburn set for slaughter; Ole Miss can score on Alabama

When in doubt, check with Vegas.
Is the star running back hurt, or is your coach just exercising a little gamesmanship and phoning him day-to-day? Is the point guard poised for a major match, or did he have a bit too much fun last night away from home? Vegas doesn’t always understand, however, the handicappers can oftentimes be a good guide to the reality.
Those trusty gambling lines may teach us things if we’re paying attention. What can Vegas teach us around Alabama?
Well, if you have been paying attention to college football, then you know Alabama coach Nick Saban has played his starting quarterback position near the vest. Initially he would not name a starter, and now he is dividing time between Tua Tagovailoa and Jalen Hurts. Why? It’s not out of the graciousness of heart.
Saban has two great quarterbacks, and he needs every advantage over his opponents. Why enable Ole Miss to prepare just one quarterback this weekend when he can make the Land Sharks prepare for two?
Is Tagovailoa and Hurts going to continue to split time today that SEC play has begun? Vegas thinks it knows the answer, and the handicappers are in on Tua. Before this week, the Heisman stocks created Tagovailoa the obvious favorite for the award, shrinking his odds of winning it to 3-to-1.
He is now the odds-on preferred to win it, which is a pretty good sign that Ole Miss is about to get a large dose of this Tua Show on Saturday in Oxford. You understand who continues to fail at putting on a show? Joe.
Joe went 4-4 against the spread last week after starting the season 1-7. He cried, in different words, but Joe would need to do a lot better to grab the Pro. Take a look at last week!
